Where & When To Find Us
The CalmWater Collective meets every Saturday at 9:00 AM at Gigglin’ Marlin Dive and Swim, located at:
4502 Almeda Rd., Houston, TX 77004
Our regular Saturday sessions focus on developing water competence for adults and young adults ages 16+. Younger teens and children may participate with a parent in the water, with instructor approval.
Participants should bring:
Swimwear
Water to drink
A towel
Goggles (if you have them)
Fins are optional but not required. We have loaner goggles, nose plugs, and ear plugs available for first-time participants.
During class, participants will work with a lifeguard-certified instructor to develop and build foundational water skills such as swimming technique, floating, treading, breath control, and calm submersion.
More advanced participants will build on their existing abilities through games, drills, and skill-based activities.
Each class concludes with an opportunity to apply newly learned skills in progressively challenging ways using the CalmWater Method.
